Literacy: Students are continuing to write about small moments. They now can write about their field trip to Dorina Nowill. During students are working on reading strategies such as cross checking; does it look right, sound right, and make sense?
Math: Students are now in unit two and have started learning about pennies and nickels, as well as telling time to the hour. Students are learning how to add up using different addition strategies.
Science: Students are learning how magnets can attract and repel. They will have opportunities to explore and experiment during a Magnet Fair. In a few more weeks, students will visit our maker space and have the opportunity to build a toy or invention that uses the properties of magnets.
Social Studies: Students are continuing to practice the eagle way and developing their communities in their classroom. They have been focused on learning to solve conflicts by using their words as well as how we can cooperate.
